Seit 2008 dürfen in vielen deutschen Städten nur noch schadstoffarme Autos unterwegs sein. Die Studie hat die Auswirkungen auf die Gesundheit besonders von Kindern und jungen Erwachsenen untersucht. Ergebnis: Psychische Erkrankungen wie Depressionen und Angststörungen sind zurückgegangen, auch bei den schulischen Leistungen sieht man positive Aspekte. Für Prof. Kemfert ist klar: Die Umweltzonen sind ein Erfolgsmodell und haben sich bewährt.
