Alors que l'on pourrait parfois avoir l'impression que le monde entier se détourne de la politique climatique, l'Assemblée générale des Nations unies prend à une large majorité une décision historique : elle confirme l'avis de la Cour internationale de justice selon lequel les États sont tenus, en vertu du droit international, de protéger le climat. (La Suisse vote également « oui » ; huit nations votent « non », dont les États-Unis, Israël, l'Iran et la Russie.)
Mais si la Suisse vote dans le bon sens à l'ONU, elle est loin d'atteindre ses propres objectifs climatiques – le calcul selon lequel on pourrait acheter à bas prix des réductions d'émissions à l'étranger ne tient pas la route, comme le montre la SRF.
Face à la canicule bien trop précoce (pas seulement en Europe), nous proposons plusieurs articles sur l’adaptation – des mesures de rafraîchissement des villes et les solutions basées sur la nature à la création d’une civilisation écologique et le rôle de l’art et de la littérature.
Des nouvelles inquiétantes en provenance de l'Antarctique : longtemps, la région semblait peu touchée par le réchauffement, mais cela a changé en 2015. Les sciences ont désormais reconstitué ce qui se passe.
