Hintergründe zur Entstehung der Sturzflut im Himalaya.
Nepal erwägt eine Schadenersatzklage wegen der Sturzflut – der Internationale Gerichtshof und die UN-Generalversammlung (auch die Schweiz) haben den Weg dazu geebnet.

Die UNEP sagt: 1,5 Grad Erwärmung werden wir überschreiten, aber eine Rückkehr zu 1,5 Grad nach dem Overshoot ist noch möglich – sofern die 1,8 Grad nicht überschritten werden. Dazu ist die Welt aber nicht auf Kurs.

Deutschland droht 2026 erstmals sein Klimaziel zu verfehlen
Deutschlands Emissionen sind im ersten Halbjahr 2026 nur geringfügig um bis zu 7 Millionen Tonnen CO₂-Äq gesunken. Zwar wirken sich Elektrifizierungserfolge beim Heizen und im Verkehr positiv auf die Klimabilanz aus, der größte Teil des Rückgangs ist jedoch krisen- und preisbedingt.
