Cette semaine, aucun événement majeur ne domine l'actualité, mais plusieurs thèmes reviennent :
Plusieurs articles sur le climat urbain : les températures estivales en ville constituent un enjeu de santé publique, la solution passe par davantage d'arbres (ici, ici et ici) et moins de voitures (ici et ici).
Plusieurs articles sur la transition énergétique : les énergies renouvelables surpassent le charbon et le gaz 24 heures sur 24, comme le montre une étude de l'IRENA ; en Allemagne, un calculateur de transition énergétique de l'Institut Fraunhofer devrait accélérer la transition ; la guerre c. Iran fait avancer la transition énergétique – mais la Suisse est à la traîne –, tout en réduisant à néant les progrès en matière de politique climatique, car elle enrichit encore davantage les compagnies pétrolières. Et la SRF dresse le portrait du pionnier suisse de l'énergie solaire Josef Jenni.
Plusieurs articles sur le climat et la guerre – comment les chocs climatiques rendent les guerres plus probables, pourquoi les émissions militaires ne sont pas comptées, pourquoi les Suisses continuent de chauffer au gaz russe et pourquoi toute guerre dans une société basée sur les énergies fossiles se transforme en crise pétrolière.
Plusieurs articles sur la justice climatique : les inégalités entraînent chaque année 100 000 décès supplémentaires liés à la chaleur et au froid en Europe ; Natasha Walter considère la crise environnementale comme une crise féministe ; comment les besoins en lithium pour les batteries violent les droits des peuples indigènes aux États-Unis ; et comment le marché du carbone des Nations unies échoue à protéger les communautés marginalisées.
Par ailleurs, selon un nouveau sondage, les Suisses se montrent plus fatalistes face à la crise climatique que les habitants de nos pays voisins et se sentent moins responsables envers les générations futures. La conférence de Santa Marta sur la sortie des énergies fossiles, qui s’est tenue en avril 2026, a été une bonne expérience pour montrer comment mettre en place une transition juste. Et George Monbiot sait comment toucher les gens : en les écoutant d’abord. Si l’on fait cela, on constate qu’ils pensent nettement plus à gauche – ou moins à droite – que ne le reflètent leurs votes.
