Même si la guerre contre Iran continue de dominer les débats sur l'énergie et la politique internationale, on trouve cette semaine quelques articles moins alarmistes dans les médias. Le développement de l'énergie solaire s'est accéléré à l'échelle mondiale, tandis que l'importance des énergies fossiles dans la production d'électricité a diminué. À l'occasion du Earth Day 2026, le New York Times met en lumière de nombreuses évolutions positives dans la lutte contre la crise climatique. Et pour ceux qui envisagent de faire un don pour lutter contre la crise climatique, Vox propose une sélection de fondations qui font bouger les choses.
Les nouvelles concernant les impacts sont moins réjouissantes : avec le réchauffement climatique en cours, les menaces pour la santé ne cessent de croître, comme le montre une nouvelle étude synthétique. Et Carbon Brief explique comment El Niño devrait faire de 2026 la seconde année la plus chaude depuis le début des relevés climatiques.
Climat urbain : l'exemple de la métropole chinoise de Shenzhen montre comment fonctionne une ville à zéro émission nette. Et un rapport du World Resources Institute explique comment l'adaptation à la crise climatique peut réussir dans les grandes villes.
Politique : la conférence « Transition Away from Fossil Fuels » débute demain en Colombie. Les 53 États participants, dont la Suisse, forment une « coalition des volontaires », écrit le Guardian.
